GET INVOLVED

The success of PWH depends upon the hard work of our volunteers (believe it or not, 98% of our work is accomplished by volunteers). The primary task of volunteers is to sort through and organize the thousands of pounds of medical supplies that we collect. We welcome both individuals and groups to come to our warehouse and assist us with this important work.

We are passionate about providing students with the opportunity to learn valuable professional skills while working for a cause they feel strongly about. The responsibilities of student chapters include developing partnerships with local hospitals, collecting, sorting, and shipping medical supplies, educating the community on global health issues, and hosting yearly drives.

Project 10,000 is an effort to reduce both maternal and infant mortality rates in Africa by providing women with kits containing the supplies necessary for a sterile birth and items to keep their newborn warm. This project has seen significant success but we need your help to ensure we are able to reach 10,000 women!

Internships at PWH provide exposure to all aspects of our organization. Currently we offer Global Health Internships in the Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.  Summer internships are full-time, while internships during the school year can be either part-time or full-time. Interns are an invaluable resource to PWH!
